A Woodland Walk with a Camera and a Dog
I have added a couple of new items to my "camera bag" in the last couple of weeks, the first is a new lens, the Viltrox 56mm 1.7, and the second is a new tripod - its a Polarduck, an amazon brand that was reduced down to £29.
To give them both a good test run I used my Saturday morning dog walk as an excuse to do a little woodland photo/video project.
I have been working on a recipe for a couple of weeks to use when dog walking at this time of year, and struggled - but this one seems to have worked well. At the start of the year the weather is really changeable, the sky can jump from clear to very overcast, from light to dark, the ground can often be a dark green mix with browns or reds, overall the environment doesn't lend itself to bright popping recipes, so my focus has been for something muted, yet bold and impactful.
These are the settings I have used.
Film Simulation: Nc Classic Negative
Dynamic Range: DR400
Highlight Tone: -1.5
Shadow Tone: +2
Color: -2
Sharpness: +1
Noise Reduction: 0
Grain Effect: Off
White Balance: Daylight +3 Red, -1 Blue)
It works well keeping the ISO low and underexposing by 1/3
Chrome Effect should be strong, with FX Blue set to weak or off.
Here are the results
