A Dull Day in Early January - A recipe for overcast
With my new camera being a couple of weeks old, I still want to use it every day in a productive way. In Scotland, this can be challenging as with limited daylight hours at this time of year, and that light is mostly overcast, the environment for taking nice, impactful photos can be few and far between.

I thought Fujifilm Simulations may well be the answer to this, so I did a search on youtube for recipes to suit a dull day and found a couple of videos that made recommendations;
- This one by Andrei Dima - Three Fujifilm Recipes for Bad Weather
- This one by Roma Fox - How to Photograph in Overcast Boring Light
- And this one by Kim Daniel Vendal (_stillkim) - The only 3 recipes you need for overcast photography had something that really caught my eye.
Kim recommends three recipes, but it was one called "Creamy Colour" developed by https://www.captnlook.com/ that really got me excited. I loaded it into my camera and headed out, first of all, on a dog walk, but then later in the day some supermarket shopping. This let me try it inside and out, natural light and artificial. I think it gave good results in both environments.
